Atoka named today Josephine Smith Hicks Day in honor of its newest centenarian

Josephine Smith Hicks got more and more emotional the more the mayor went on.  “Isn’t this something?” she said as mayor Barry Akin said she’d officially become a centenarian. The Kirk family recently donated two Cuddle Cots to Baptist-Tipton

On the day her son was due, Gracie Kirk was standing with her family in the lobby of Baptist-Tipton making a donation in his memory.  Early into her pregnancy she found out her son, whom she named Kamdyn Ryder, had numerous heart problems. Brighton Middle School speller moves on to national spelling bee
