Tipton-Rosemark Academy football has resumed offseason workouts with COVID-19 regulations

By Jeff Ireland on June 10, 2020

[metaslider id=5707] If you’ve ever spent anytime in a high school football weight room or locker room, one of the first things you’ll probably notice is the smell. By Jeff Ireland on June 5, 2020

[metaslider id=5688] You would not think teenagers would be excited about running around in the heat and vomiting occasionally, but that is clearly the case. Now the program will have to try and continue that success under new leadership. Ross announced … [Read more...] about Munford basketball coach Ryan Ross leaving for job at South-Doyle

By Jeff Ireland on May 28, 2020

[metaslider id=5604] Ronald Holland says he did not set out to produce four professional athletes when he started his family in the early 1980s. “It just kind of worked out that way,” Holland says. “I think all the women he talked to were six feet (tall) or close to it,” Ramon Foster says with a laugh when asked if he thinks his father purposely sought out tall and athletic … [Read more...] about The story of Covington Charger legend Ronald Holland and his four professional athlete sons

Two trees fall on Bringle Road home of James Rogers

By Jeff Ireland on May 19, 2020

[metaslider id=5545] James Rogers and his wife were in bed about 8 a.m. last Saturday when a really loud noise awoke them. "At first I just thought it was a tree falling," said Rogers, who lives on Bringle Road, "but my wife said we needed to look."
