Mary Kathleen Strickland
August 19, 1934 – July 19, 2020
Mary Kathleen Strickland, age 85, formerly of Covington, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2020 at Gulf Coast Village in Cape Coral, Fla.
She was born August 19, 1934 in Halls, a daughter of the late Andrew Frank Garrett and Georgie Moore Garrett. She graduated from Halls High School in 1952. On July 2, 1954 she married Malcolm Lowell Strickland Sr., who preceded her in death. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Covington.
In 2016 she moved to Cape Coral, Fla. to be closer to her son.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her son, Mike Strickland; two grandchildren, Melanie Wagner and Malcolm Strickland III, and six great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, July 24 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel, with interment to follow in Covington Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
