Saturday the Chocolate Tour returns to downtown Covington. Here’s what you need to know about the county’s sweetest event.
The Chocolate Tour has become a tradition
The 11th annual event will take place on Feb. 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the square. The tour is hosted by the Covington Economic Development Corp.We’re expecting temperatures in the mid 40s and after being cooped up all week with the ice storm, it’ll be the perfect opportunity to get out of the house.
More than two dozen vendors
This year’s event begins at Liberty Vintage Marketplace in the Depot District and will continue up East Liberty Avenue to the square. This year there are 25 businesses and organizations participating.
Buy your tickets in advance
Advance tickets, which are available online, at the chamber office, and at several shop, are $10 each. Tickets on the day of the event are $15 and can be purchased on the square.
Bring something to carry all of your chocolate treats
When you’ve had your fill of chocolate, fill your bag and take the remaining goodies home. With nearly so many stops to make throughout the tour, you’re sure to need the extra help. Don’t forget to look around in the shops while you snack.
Visit every store to win a delicious prize
Punch your ticket at each of the participating businesses and enter to win a basket overflowing with goodies. A name will be drawn towards the end of the event.
