SRVS Tipton County went to SRVS for our dance class on Wednesday, Nov. 20. Parents and staff, from both centers, were in attendance. There were people from the community and the county participated in this important event.

On Thursday, Nov. 21, we exercised at the gym. Afterwards, some of the staff and service recipients went to Fred’s to purchase so items and work on our money management skills. We went to thank Amy Payne for the ink pens that she gave us.

We worked on different activities and cleaned the center Friday, Nov. 22.

On Monday, Nov. 25, we worked on different activities.

Staff and service recipients went to the gym, worked on crafts for Thanksgiving, as well as had activities of choice on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

Staff and service recipients celebrated with a Thanksgiving potluck lunch, with all the fixings, on Wednesday, Nov. 27, here at the center.

The center was closed on Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 28.

The center reopened Monday, Dec. 2. Staff and service recipients made and decorated Christmas trees at the center in the cafeteria. We also made snowball ornaments for our parents and guardians.

Service recipients drew names for our Christmas party on Tuesday, Dec. 3, here at the center. Staff and service recipients went to the gym, then Fred’s to purchase items and work on money management. We also worked on outcomes and listened to some Christian music.

We had snack time in the cafeteria on Wednesday, Dec. 4, and played some Wii games in the recreational room.

We take turns taking out the trash Monday-Friday as well as washing the dishes, sweeping and wiping off the tables here at the center. We are making snowmen out of marshmallows here at the center. We want to thank Ms. Norma Turner for the magazines and for the donation of clothes that she brought to the center. We appreciate them very much.

Upcoming events

Shopping and several field trips; birthday celebrations for Brenda Tipton and Marcie Holland; and the Christmas party, which will be Monday, Dec. 23, are all upcoming events.
