Friday, Oct. 25, staff and service recipients went to the Veteran’s Traveling Memorial at  Munford Park. Some of our men and women gave their lives for our country. They made the sacrifice so that we may be free. It was an interesting experience and a piece of History for everyone to remember.
Monday, Oct. 28, staff and service recipients went to Bartlett Park and had their snack. The day was really nice.
Service recipients worked on an activity of choice, went to the gym and made crafts on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
Wednesday, Oct. 30, service recipients and staff visited the Brooks Museum to look at some art, then had a picnic at Marquette Park. Everyone enjoyed himself very much.
Thursday, Oct. 31, staff and service recipients went to Halloween party, including a dance and haunted house, at the SRVS Center in Memphis. Everyone enjoyed himself very much. We want to thank SRVS for the nice Halloween Party.
We picked up the yard, listened to some CD’s and worked on activities of choice on Friday, Nov. 1.
Staff and service recipients went to recreational room, where they  played the drums, worked on their outcomes and listened to CDs on Thursday, Nov. 7.
Staff and service recipients cleaned the center, played air hockey and worked on activities of choice on Friday, Nov. 8.
We worked on money management by purchasing some items at Hobby Lobby and then had lunch at Bartlett Park on Monday, Nov. 11.
Tuesday, Nov. 12,  staff and service recipients went to Fred’s to purchase some items and work on money management. Afterwards, we went to the gym. We also listened to the radio, played on IPads and worked on activities of choice.
Service recipients worked on their states and went shopping at Wal-Mart to purchase some items on Wednesday, Nov.13.
Some of our service recipients have been under the weather. We hope they feel better soon. We love them very much and they are very special to us. We also would like to thank the folks here in the community for their love and support.
Thursday, Nov. 14, staff and service recipients purchased some items at Fred’s. Afterwards, we worked out at the gym and then worked on art projects for Thanksgiving.
We went to the library, cleaned the center and worked on IPads on Friday, Nov. 15, as well as finishing up turkey wreaths to take home to our parents for the Thanksgiving holidays.
The kitchen and cafeteria are being painted by Mr. Bill Franklin, who is Sam Franklin’s dad.
