Neil Langston Bell Jr.

Neil Langston Bell Jr., 89, of Brighton, died at his home on January 14, 2014. The son of the late Neil Langston Bell Sr. and Alice Payne Forsythe Bell, he was a cattlemen, in grocery sales and distribution and was a small business owner in addition to being a longtime deacon and Sunch school teacher at Brighton Baptist Church. Mr. Bell was also a veteran of World War II, serving in with the Army in the Pacific theater.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17 at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home. Funeral services, conducted by Minister David Griffin of Greeneville, S.C., will take place Saturday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. He will be buried at Morrison Cemetery.
Mr. Bell is survived by his wife of 69 years, Vivian Bell, sons Neil Bell III of Brighton and Steve Bell of Memphis, sister Venita Walker and three grandchildren.
