I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

The kids came over and we had cheese ball, our traditional wieners in my special sauce, Rotel and chips, grapes and cider.

We ate, opened gifts, then everyone went home to wait for Santa, especially Lyla! My favorite gift: An autographed "To Elaine" picture of Tom Selleck! Woo-hoo!

I got to visit with Brian and Shelley on Christmas Day, and also with Rachel and Cameron on Thursday, Shelley's birthday. Liz and Lyla went to me then, after they had ham, baked beans and potato salad for supper with us.

Michelle Nowak and I had lunch together in town on Friday and swapped gifts. That afternoon I "un-decorated" a lot, then rode to Millington with Justin, Liz and Lyla that night.

I got my Wizard of Oz tree down Friday, along with James' little "hunting" tree in our room, but our big tree in the den didn't go down till today. I already miss it!

Saturday was spent working on the books and getting the boys ready to do their taxes by the end of February.

Sunday, I drove over to Luke and Jennifer McMahan's beautiful home to join other women at a baby shower for Haley Hollingsworth Hall, who is expecting a son, Houston Shane Hall, very soon! Congratulations to that family, and it was a very lovely shower.

Kali Langston, Pat Armstrong, Dale Laxton, Joyce Whaley, Judy Randolph, Bonnie Holbrook, Johnny Jones, Pam Tankersley, Stephanie Scott, Keith McCalla, Ralph Watkins, Otis Griffin, Chris Hyatt and so many more continue on our prayer list, along with all our servicemen and women.
