It’s been another very cold and windy Monday and Tuesday! If it's this cold for so long, we should have snow, but no!
Our well froze up twice last week. Saturday morning, we woke up and it was 56 degrees in the house, because our heat runs off well water. That’s crazy!
It was so cold, I didn't get out of the house from Wednesday night until Saturday afternoon, when it finally reached around 50 degrees, after four days in the 20s. People had shorts and short sleeves on and it wasn't even that warm. It's been miserable! Someone posted on Facebook that the first person who complains about the heat this summer gets slapped! Ha!
Many people have asked about Keith McCalla. I saw Sandra the other day and she said he's good, no fever, but he has lost a lot of weight and she was getting him anything he wanted to eat. He continues in our prayers as treatments start again soon. No visitors, please.
Sympathy to Mike and Paula McLean in the death of their son Wayne Kuykendall. His service was Saturday. They have my prayers. Also for the family of Emma Cunningham, they have my sympathy.
On our prayer list are Craig Clay, who remains in The Med following a head-on collision; Ken Bringle; Dale Laxton, who is supposed to come home from rehab this week; Jack Weir, my uncle; Florence Roberson; Phil Dunn, former minister of ours; Pam Tankersley; Otis Griffin; Chris Hyatt; Carole Hughey and so many others, including all servicemen and women.

This week's cat report: even Minnie the cat is feeling the effects of the cold weather with cold feet and ears. She hesitates when we pet her because it shocks both of us. She loves lying in front of the gas heater and I don't blame her.
This week's Farmer's Almanac quote: "This year there is no new moon in February, but there will be two in both January and March." How odd!
