We made it through the cold snap last Tuesday and Wednesday, and it was in the 70s over the weekend! Crazy! My prayers go out to those affected by the tornadoes, especially in Illinois and Kentucky. It was a terrible Sunday for those folks.
Lauren and Bryce Mosley had a beautiful wedding on Saturday, officiated by our former minister, Mike Mays. It was good to see him and his wife Margie. I wish the newlyweds a wonderful happy life together!
We had pizza and game night at the Covington Church of Christ Sunday night and a big crowd stayed. It was a fun night.
Jimmy Coats had a heart cath with good results last week. Judy Randolph has been at church a little more lately, so I think she's feeling better and pray she continues. Helen Goforth is having health problems, as is Rosie Barnes, Lewis Fowler. Please pray for them, along with all our servicemen and women and the government.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Alma Rose, who passed away last week. They have my prayers. Also, the family of A. B. Twisdale, whom James knew well. His family has my prayers too, in their loss.
We had two little boys, Noah Rogers and John Oliver Wall, at church yesterday for their first time! Parents, respectively, are Robbie and Jessica Rogers and Lauren and Logan Wall. It was wonderful!
The birthday party at Covington Care will be on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 2:30 p.m.
