Beginning this year, there will be an increase in compliance checks of alcohol sales to youth in Tipton County, according to Robin Racine, Executive Director of the Anti-Drug Coalition of Tipton County.

Local law enforcement agencies are planning to conduct a compliance check on all vendors in Tipton County. There will be a follow-up check on any vendors who fail their first compliance check. At this time, 83 percent of the outlets checked, have a pass rate, according to Racine.

To support vendor’s efforts to not sell alcohol or tobacco to youth, the Anti-Drug Coalition of Tipton County offers vendor training periodically, as well as packets containing informational signage.
