It is good to be able to write again. The last three weeks have been tough for me due to the ever changing weather conditions. Let's hope for some steady weather.
Recently I received a letter from Ms. Dot Smith of Pensacola, Fla. It is always good to hear from her. Ms. Dot is still a Leader reader and continues to keep up with the news.
The Gilt Edge Church of Christ recently held its annual family lectureship and both of our speakers, Brother David Dalton and Brother Chris Harper, did outstanding jobs in preparing and conducting the lessons. The members at Gilt Edge would like to thank those who supported us and please come as often as you would like.
On Tuesday, Feb. 4, Rick Huffman, son Ricky and I attended the annual lectureship at Freed Hardeman in Henderson. We had a good time despite the snowy weather on the way back home.
West Tennessee Championship Wrestling lost one of its own when Donnie “Duck” Patrick passed away on Jan. 22. WTCW dedicated the Jan. 25 show in his memory and it was an emotional night for all. He will be missed by his family, friends and the Garland Volunteer Fire Department, who retired his call number 14. Also, deep sympathies extended to the families of Brother Harold Knipple, who ministered at the Elm Grove Church of Christ, Maurice Easley and Buck Pikard. May God comfort these families in their grief and sorrows.
On the prayer list: Willie Mae Lawson, Lois Smith, Andrea Stafford, Betty Baskin, Carolyn Hanks, Carla Carlson, Jeanette Hathcock, Linda Adams, Dale Boyd, Raymond Poole and Shannon Morgan. Happy birthday to Lynn Puckett, Barbara Osbourn, Christie Walker, Connie Huffman and Wayne Stevens.
Happy anniversary to Keith and Ginger Beasley and W. L. and Annette Miles. I hope all enjoyed their special days.
Again, it is good to write again now that I am feeling well.
