The Covington FFA Livestock Judging recently competed in two judging competitions in West Tennessee.
These competitions require the student to evaluate different species of livestock, such as cattle, swine, sheep and goats. The student also has to give different sets of oral reasons on why the student placed the animals the way that they did.  On Nov. 7, the team competed in the Western Region 4H Competition in Parsons. The team finished seventh out 39 teams.
On Nov. 14, the team went to the University of Tennessee at Martin, where they competed in the West Tennessee FFA Regional Livestock Competition. The team finished fourth in the district and 12th in the region out of 31 teams.
Hannah Turner was the second highest individual in the entire competition out of 124 students.
