As our skin dries out and we all become like alligator skin people, I guess we’ve got to just go with the flow. I don’t know about you, but I’m the worlds worst about putting skin lotion on. Now, I moisturize my face with Oil of Olay twice a day, but the rest of my arms and legs…blah, blah, blah! So, we all have dry skin, but life goes on. Thank you, Lord!
We’re looking for another cold week ahead, but we’ve toughened up so we can handle it, right? NOT! Not me and not my little folks out here, we all need to move to the Bahamas! I’m sure they would agree. Needless to say, they surely don’t get out as much as during the nicer part of the year, and every year I have one of those “birthdays,” I tend more and more to agree with them. Yes, I hear you. You too, huh?
I’m sure you’re all in the same predicament we are. We have tree limbs laying all over the campus. These pine trees are atrocious when they fall and we do have our share of those little/big buggers. We also have some trees out here that are more than 100 years old. That ice storm we had last week has about got us covered up.
I wouldn’t even allow my maintenance man, Jeff, to try removing them yet because the trees still have ice on them at press time; I would be afraid of one falling on him. I’m also afraid of a limb falling on someone else, like my residents or my staff!
We still have a huge limb laying in the middle of the outdoor table and chairs where we sit in the spring and summer time and enjoy the beautiful weather. It actually doesn’t look very inviting right now, ugh!
We still have our two-room suite available, if anyone is interested. It has a full bath, two closets and is close to the kitchen. We cook three meals a day, do your laundry and clean your room…you can’t get anymore “retired” than that! If you or anyone you know might be looking for a nice place to call home, please give me a call at 476-7014. I’ll be glad to show you around.
Everyone, don’t forget, we have set our Springfest Day for May 3.
It starts at 10 a.m. and ends around 3 p.m. For everyone who comes and helps, I’ll be calling you any day now, so please plan to come. Rainout date is May 10 and hopefully we won’t have to use it this year.
Well, until next time, you all have a blessed week and love your neighbor like you would yourself…don’t say it if it’s not nice and always keep in mind how much God loves you and sacrificed his Son to die on the cross for you. Love you all!
