SOUTH TIPTON – Linda Hayes said it's been weeks since her trash has been picked up.
And she's not alone.
"It's frustrating," said Michael Brown who was picking up trash along Ray Bluff Road Wednesday. "We still have Christmas trash out here."
Dozens of trash bags and boxes are piled up next to the garbage can, the same can ABC Waste said Tuesday it's only a date late emptying.
Hayes, Brown and other residents of South Tipton County say the company is three weeks late and hasn't collected trash since before Christmas.
"I can't get anybody on the phone. I've left messages and they won't return my call."
On Tuesday, an employee who said his name was Joe told The Leader the company was behind because of the holidays. They told our colleagues at WMC-TV they've also had problems with broken vehicles.
Hayes is angry because she's paid for pickup and isn't receiving the service.
"You don't want it sitting down there in front of your house and they haven't picked it up," she said.
The company serves 3,500 customers in North Shelby and South Tipton counties and says all customers should be back on schedule this week.
