CIAA will perform their annual school play, “High School Musical, Jr.,” beginning Tuesday, Dec. 10.
Matinee times are 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec 10 through Thursday Dec. 12, with night performances Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Matinee pricing is $2 a ticket for students, teachers and chaperones are admitted free. Evening pricing is $5 per ticket.
The shortened version of the television movie includes such well known songs as “We’re all in this together,” “Stick to the Status Quo,” “Breaking Free” and “Get your head in the Game.”
Troy Bolton is a the basketball king and Gabriella Montez is the smart, cute geek. They click when they meet at a New Year's Eve party and before you know it, they run into each other at their high school. Gabriella, the new girl and Troy, the popular boy accidently audition for the high school musical. The heads of the drama department, Sharpay Evans and her brother Ryan, work their devious ways to try to take the leads.
“I am overwhelmed and excited about seeing this vision come alive. I’ve very proud of the students, the art team and the teachers. I’m blessed to be at a school that embraces this arts like CIAA,” said director Deborah Walker.
