Students at CIAA participated in an unique experience through a county-sponsored distance learning program.  Students in Ms. Rogers' challenge class had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Stephen Berger and a representative from the Nassau County Holocaust Museum. Mr. Berger, a Holocaust survivor originally from Hungary, spoke with the students about his life experiences and challenged them to make positive changes in the world.  Students also had the opportunity to ask Mr. Berger questions about his experiences and find out why he believed it was important for students of today to learn about the Holocaust. Students left this program with a deeper insight into how the Holocaust changed the world, as well as how each person can be a change for good in the world. Courtesy photo
