New Beginning Church will be hosting a Thanksgiving Day meal for any persons who have experienced financial hardship, loved ones serving in the military, recently lost a loved one and those who will not have the opportunity to experience the blessing of fellowship during this holiday season.
The meal will take place at Brighton Middle School cafeteria, located at 7785 Hwy. 51 South in Brighton, on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. There is no cost to attend. The church is planning to feed 300 during its first foray into a Thanksgiving celebration and Pastor Reginal L. Butler hopes for the meal to become an annual event.
“We have an obligation to help people, as children of God. There are so many issues out in our community that we wanted to help and tell God, thank you,” said Butler. “If I were hungry I would want someone to help me.”
