Hello my friends,
It is December and only a few weeks away from Christmas and the New Year. It is so hard to believe that the year is almost over.
I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was wonderful. Ours was great, of course, and we ate too much as usual. We enjoyed everyone getting together and just relaxing.
Danielle, Trey, and their families weren't able to be with us, but we enjoyed the children that were able to come.
The Brighton Christmas parade went well with some really neat floats. There was a lot of participation and that made it so nice to welcome the holiday season into our community. The Grand Marshall was Mrs. Doris Hicks, or Mim, as she was so lovingly called during her child care years. She is known as “Meemaw” by her grandchildren and quite a bundle of other young people. Even if you don't know her personally, you may have eaten the wonderful pies she bakes for Well's Kitchen. I love her dearly.
There is an open house planned for this Saturday, by Faye Hughey, 480 Junior Drive in Covington from 2-4 p.m. It will be in their cabana pool house. There will be handmade wreaths, jewelry, door prizes and lots of great Christmas gifts. Come on out and shop.
Please be safe over the next week during this season of giving and also, try to go to some of the area Christmas specials that the churches are planning as well as Christmas City.
Love to all,
