Lynn and Cathy Billings are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Leah Catherine Billings to David Allen Isome, of Covington.
Leah is the granddaughter of Mary Jane Billings of Covington and the late Leonard Billings and Tony Byrd of Mason and the late Wanda Jean Byrd. She is a graduate of Covington High School and the University of Memphis, with a bachelor’s in integrative studies. She has a Master in Administration from Bethel University and is a third grade teacher at Covington Integrated Arts Academy. Leah is a member of First United Methodist Church Chancel Choir.
David is the son of Larry and Dianne Isome of Covington. He is the grandson of Hazel Whittiemore of Covington, and the late David Whittiemore and the late Allen Isome and the late Gladys Isome. David graduated from Covington High School, Dyersburg State Community College and the University of Memphis, where he receive a bachelor’s degree in marketing management. He is a bond broker for Carty and Company.
David surprised Leah last October by proposing to her inside Covington High School at the same spot where they where they would see each when they were students.
The wedding will take place on March 22, at 4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Covington, with a reception following at Billings Bald Butcher.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
